My name is Claudia and I'm the face behind shescloudy calligraphy. 

I fell in love with calligraphy when my (then) boyfriend invited me to take a Copperplate calligraphy class with him. He is a tattoo artist and had taken that class several times before. I was curious about calligraphy - I remembered my mom having a book about it when I was a child - and decided to join.

Since then, I have taken multiple classes and workshops to refine my skills. I added hand engraving and bottle painting to my repertoire; and sourced Los Angeles’ largest mirror rental collection.

Looking back, I'm so very grateful for discovering this unique art. Pursuing calligraphy changed my life's path and my career.

I decided to shift careers (I hold a BA and MA in Journalism and worked in the media and PR for 10 years) and started shescloudy calligraphy in 2018. My boyfriend from back then is now my husband and we live in Los Angeles, CA.
